I have a Dream (나에게는 꿈이 있습니다) - 6

이 연설도 벌써 6회차입니다. 전문을 한번에 읽어서 이해를 한다면 아마도 대단한 실력자일것으로 생각합니다. 하지만 저는 초보수준인지라 여러차례로 나누어서 올릴 예정입니다. 이해 바랍니다. 그리고 꾸준히 함께 해주실 분도 계시리라 생각합니다.

Go back to Mississippi, go back to Alabama, go back to  South Carolina, go back to Georgia, go back to Louisiana, go  back to the slums and the ghettos of our northern cities, knowing that somehow this situation can and will be  changed. Let us not wallow in the valley of despair.

미시시피로 돌아가십시오, 앨라배마로 돌아가십시오, 사우스캐롤라이나로 돌아  가십시오, 조지아로 돌아가십시오,루이지애나로 돌아가십시오, 이 상황이 어떻게  든 변화될 수 있으며 또 변화될 것이라고 생각하면서 우리 북부의 도시들의 슬럼과 게토로 돌아가십시오. 절망의 골짜기에서 뒹굴지 맙시다.

 somehow 어떻게든, wallow 딩굴다.

I say to you today, my friends, that in spite of the  difficulties and frustrations of the moment  I still have a dream. It is a dream deeply rooted in the American dream. I  have a dream that one day this nation will rise up and live out the true meaning of its creed: "We hold these truths to  be self-evident; that all men are created equal."

동지 여러분, 지금의 고난과 좌절에도 불구하고 나는 여전히 꿈이 있음을 오늘  여러분에게 말씀드립니다. 그 꿈은 '미국의 꿈'에 깊이 뿌리내린 꿈입니다. 나는  언젠가 이 나라가 일어나 다음 신조의 진정한 의미를 완성하리라는 꿈이 있습니다. "우리는 다음의 내용을 자명한 진리로 생각합니다, 모든 인간은 평등하게 창조되었다는 것을."

I have a dream that one day on the red hills of Georgia the  sons of former slaves and  the sons of former slave owners  will be able to sit down together at the table of brotherhood. I have a dream that one day even the state of Mississippi, a  desert state sweltering with the heat of injustice and  oppression, will be transformed into an oasis of freedom  and justice.

나는 언젠가 조지아의 붉은 언덕 위에서 노예였던 사람의 아들과 노예 주인이었던 사람의 아들이 형제애의 식탁에 함께 앉을 수 있으리라는 꿈이 있습니다. 나는 언젠가 불의와 압제의 열기로 뜨거운 그 사막 같은 주(州)인, 미시시피 주  조차도 자유와 정의의 오아시스로 변화될 것이라는 꿈이 있습니다.
