Love was theirs, full of joys and sweetness, full of hope, exquisite, brave and marvellous love, beyond anything you have ever dreamt of love. 사랑은 그들의 것이었다.(그들은 엄청난 사랑을 했다)  환희와 달콤함과 희망으로 가득하며 고상하고 용감하며 경이로운 사랑으로 충만했던 그 둘의 사랑은 이제까지 사람들이 사랑에 대해 꿈꾸었던 그 어떤 것보다도 완벽한 사랑이었다. . * exquisite 강렬한 *brave = fine, excellent 근사한 , 멋진  * marvellous 기가 막히게 좋은,경탄할 만한 * dreamt :DREAM의 과거·과거분사 * you 일반 사람을 가르킴

It was theirs for a year and a part of a year； and then suddenly, because of  some venomous sting that came to her in a thicket, she died. 그들의 사랑은 일년 하고도 몇달 동안 지속되었다. 그러다 갑자기 덤불 숲 독가시에 찔려 (뱀에 물려서)  왕비가 죽고 말았다 *venomous 독이 있는 * thicket 덤불

She died and for a while the prince was utterly prostrated. 그녀는 죽었고 한동안 왕은 완전히 기운을 잃었다. * prostrated 몸을 가누지 못하는 (앞으로 쓰러지는 자세)

He was silent and motionless with grief. 그는 슬픔에 잠겨 말도 없이 꼼짝도 하지 않았다. *grief 비탄,큰 슬픔

They feared he might kill himself, and he had neither sons nor brothers to succeed him.사람들은 왕이 스스로 목숨을 끊지나 않을까 걱정했다. 게다가 그에게는 왕위를 계승할 아들이나 형제들도 없었다. *succeed 뒤를 잇다, 성공하다

For two days and nights he lay upon his face, fasting, across the foot of the couch which bore her calm and lovely body. 그는 이틀 밤낮을 왕비의 조용하고 사랑스런 주검이 놓인 침상의 발치에 아무것도 먹지 않고 엎드려 있었다.  * fasting 금식,단식 (아침식사: breakfast)

And while these things were being done he spent his time for the most  part by the pools and in the garden-houses and pavilions and groves  and in those chambers in the palace where they two had been most  together, brooding upon her loveliness.그리고 이런 일들이 진행되는 동안 그는 대부분의 시간을 수영장과 정원, 정자, 숲, 그리고 두 사람이 가장 많이 함께했던 궁전의 방에서 그녀의 사랑스러움을 생각하며 시간을 보냈습니다.  *pavilion 가설건물,부속건물 * grove 숲,수풀 *chamber 룸, 실 * brooding 곰곰이 생각하는 * loveliness사랑스러움, 어여쁨
