The Glass Menagerie(유리 동물원) Scene 1- 8

이제부터 엄마는 자신이 남부의 잘 나가는 집에서 살던 시절을 회상하며 자신의 이야기에 빠져듭니다.  과거는 참 아름답지요!! 그러나 이를 듣는 아들은 짜증이 많이 나겠지요..

AMANDA: Girls in those days knew how to talk, I can tell you. 정말이야(내가 너 한테 말하지만) 그 시절의 소녀들은 말하는 법을 알았다.

TOM: Yes? 그래요?

AMANDA: They knew how to entertain their gentlemen callers. It wasn't enough for a girl to be possessed of a pretty face and a graceful figure although I wasn’t slighted in either respect.
